Want no company to shut operations: Sitharaman on telecom stress

As per the Supreme Court, the telecom companies are facing billions of dollars of fresh statutory liability. Two major telecom giants Vodafone and Airtel have reported a massive loss of Rs 74000 crore as they were hit by statutory dues. Govt has set up CoS under Cabinet Secretary to mitigate the critical financial situation in this sector. Earlier Court had ordered the telecom companies had to pay Rs 1.42 lakh crore.
