Night-firing test of ballistic missile conducted in Odisha coast successful

The Strategic Forces Command conducts a successful night-firing test of a ballistic missile off the Odisha coast. A ballistic missile is a missile with a high arching trajectory which is initially powered, guided but falls under gravity on to its target. Supersonic cruise missile BrahMos was test fired from the ITR at Chandipur in Odisha in June this year. BrahMos is described as the world's fastest supersonic cruise missiles.
