Under a state of emergency after the coronavirus outbreak, New York has launched its own brand of hand sanitizer made by jail inmates. Governor Andrew Cuomo said 100,000 gallons of 'NYS Clean' will be produced by prisoners per week. The prisoners already manufacture soap to meet shortages. The hand sanitizer has a 75% alcohol content which will be provided free to government agencies, schools, public transport & prisons.
