NASA's SOFIA has found that Pluto's haze is created from the faint sunlight which is 3.7 billion miles away as it moves through an unusual orbit. SOFIA is NASA's telescope on an aeroplane and its remote findings show that the haze around Pluto is made up of very small particles that stay in the atmosphere for longer period of time than falling quickly on the surface. The findings are published in scientific journal Icarus.
