NASA spacecraft momentarily touches asteroid to collect cosmic rubble

In one of its kind descend, a NASA spacecraft momentarily touched the surface of an asteroid to get a hold of a handful of cosmic rubble. The spacecraft descended on the asteroid on Tuesday while dodging boulders as big as the size of a building. This was the first such descent by United States. Only Japan has collected asteroid samples like this earlier. The spacecraft took 4.5 hours to land on asteroid Bennu.
