NASA solar probe breaks 2 records with 4th close encounter with Sun

NASA’s Parker Solar Probe executed its fourth encounter with the Sun. With this latest flyby, the spacecraft broke its earlier records for the fastest man-made object and also the closest approach by a man-made object, towards Sun. The probe raked up a speed of about 393,044 kmph and got as close as about 18.6 million kilometers near the Sun. Part of NASA’s Living with a Star program, the Probe was launched in 2018.
