NASA scientists in Antarctica have developed a new undersea rover that can help them in their search for life on Jupiter’s partially frozen moon Europa and beyond. The Buoyant Rover for Under-Ice Exploration (BRUIE) is now being tested below the surface in Antarctica. Instead of diving deep under the ocean, BRUIE navigates on the underside of sea ice, using water buoyancy reducing the energy cost of movement.
