NASA commissions experimental new stingray inspired spacecraft

NASA has accepted the University of Buffalo’s proposal for an experimental spacecraft that can navigate through the inhospitable Venus. The craft has been modeled inspired by a stingray with flexible pectoral wings that can maintain speed and stability in Venus's thick atmosphere. It’s powered by solar panels which would charge every two to three days, when the craft emerges from the dark side of the planet.
