'Mr Lonely' NGC 6503: NASA shares image of empty galaxy located 18 Million light years away from Earth
NASA recently shared an image of NGC 653 which is located in an empty patch of space called the 'Local Void'. NGC 6503 is 18 million light-years away from Earth in the northern constellation of Draco. "The Local Void stretches about 150 million light-years across and seems to be completely empty of stars and galaxies. @NASAHubble discovered that the Milky Way is being strongly pulled away from it by the relentless tug of nearby galaxies. NGC 6503 lies at the edge of this void [sic]," NASA wrote
