More CCI Trouble For Google As Google Pay Caught In Antitrust Case

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is looking into antitrust allegations against Google’s digital payments app Google Pay, with the primary contention being that Google is using its control over the Google Play Store to influence users to download the Google Pay app. An antitrust complaint was filed in February against the UPI-backed payments app. The case is currently being reviewed by senior CCI officials.
