Keeping tourism alive: German town replicated in VR

The COVID19 pandemic has affected tourism sector severely. To keep the tourism alive, German town Herrenberg has been replicated digitally. The mayor said that it will be easier to make the right decision for the city council, politicians, and citizens. The town authorities have already incorporated super-computing and technology to visualize city data and citizens’ emotional responses to inform better decision making.
