Indian Navy to get its first woman pilot for flying Dornier surveillance plane

It is for the first time the Indian Navy is geared up to get a woman pilot for flying Dornier surveillance plane on 2nd December. Sub Lieutenant Shivangi will be starting with her operational duties in Kochi. This is built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and is a multi-role Dornier 228 that is deployed for carrying out a short-range maritime reconnaissance mission. This is also well equipped with state-of-the-art’ sensors.
