India to have an unprecedented amount of control over its digital financial footprints

With over 560 million internet users, all generating data by the terabyte, India is soon going to have an unprecedented amount of control over its digital financial footprints. Indian banks are preparing to roll out a system that gives consumers access to a wide swath of their financial data and allows them to share it instantly. The system will be backed by Reserve Bank of India. Banks will offer an “account aggregator” system.
