India accuses Pakistan of using social media platforms to spread fake news

India has blamed Pakistan of propagating fake news through social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations pointed out that Facebook and Instagram accounts based out of Pakistan were being used to report sites and accounts that criticise Islamabad. Facebook shared a portion of this network on August 28 with the SIO which then conducted its own investigation and brought out its report.
