In fresh trouble for TikTok, CEO Kevin Mayer resigns

Amid the rising troubles for Chinese firm ByteDance-owned TikTok, the company's chief executive officer Kevin Mayer has resigned from his post. TikTok General Manager Vanessa Pappas will hold the responsibilities on an interim basis in Mayer's absence. This comes days after the popular short-form video-sharing app and one of its employees separately sued US President Donald Trump's administration for banning transactions in the US.
