Govt can't force people to use this technology: Google, Apple on coronavirus tracing

Technology giants Google and Apple are working together to implement COVID-19 contact tracing at a software level on their smartphones but theyhave made it clear that govt will not be allowed to force users to rely on the upcoming Blutooth-based contact tracing for coronavirus that was announced last week on Friday. It will be an opt-in feature meaning the user have to consent to this.
