Google launches new apps to counter smartphone addiction

Google has released 6 new apps to encourage users spend less time on smartphones as a part of a ‘Digital Wellbeing’ initiative which eyes to make sure ‘life, not the technology in it, stays front and center.’ Among the apps one is called Unlock Clock, a simple plugin keeping track of how many times you unlock the phone in a day. Google is also encouraging other Android developers to minimize the smartphone addiction.
