France fined Google for unclear ads, anti-competitive behavior

France's competition authority has fined Google $167 million on Friday 20th December for having unclear advertising and anti-competitive behavior. Last September, Google had also agreed to pay 1 billion Euros to the French authorities to settle a fiscal fraud probe that had begun 4-years ago. European countries maintain high-levels of scrutiny on major US-tech companies including Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple.
