Foreign Investment, Tech Welcome Even As India Improves Self-Reliance: Ravi Shankar Prasad

IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that PM Modi’s call for “atmanirbharta” or self-reliant India was based on the geopolitical and the geoeconomic shifts witnessed during the pandemic, but India is not closing its door to the international tech and investor community. Prasad said the goal is to increase India’s role in the global economy. Meanwhile, Prasad also noted that AI is going to play a key role in fighting Covid-19.
