Flash calls will soon be used by Whatsapp to verify your accounts

Whatsapp tracker WABetaInfo discovered this feature, termed Flash Calls, in the newest beta version of the Android app. It's still in the works, but it could be accessible in a future release. WhatsApp will ask for permission to make and manage calls, as well as view your call history if you pick the Flash Call verification option. This approach will also automatically discover and validate your account.
