Facebook rebuilds Messenger iOS app to make it faster, simpler

Facebook is rolling out a faster, simpler version of its iOS Messenger within few weeks. The new update will see Messenger loading twice as fast and will be one-fourth of its main size. It will start, download and update more quickly for everyone, even in older devices or are in areas with lower connectivity. However, some features of the app will be temporarily unavailable during the rebuild but will be back soon.
