Facebook accused of collecting data from offline stores

According to the latest report, Facebook has joined hands with top retailers where the retailers are informing FB about customers' requirements. In return, Facebook is tracking the customers buy in stores to target the customers with a specific type of ads based on their buying history from collected offline data. Users can avoid being bombarded by ads. For that, they need to change the ad preferences from the account settings.
