United Nations' World Meteorological Organization (WMO) says drop in greenhouse gas emissions amid the global economic crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic is 'short-term good news'. The WMO claims emissions will return to normal once global economy recovers from the crisis. Global climate experts, like Centre for International Climate Research, have estimated 5.5 to 5.7% fall in levels of CO2 due to lockdown.
