DeLaine Prado appointed as new general counsel of Google

Tech-giant Google has appointed Halimah DeLaine Prado as the general counsel. DeLaine Prado is one of the technology giant’s most senior Black executives. This comes months after CEO Sundar Pichai committed to increase the leadership representation of underrepresented groups by 30% by 2025. According to the 2019 diversity report of Google, 2.6% of its leaders are Black. The last time Google had a general counsel was in 2018.
