Coronavirus pandemic will lead to an 8% decline in information technology spends in India: Gartner

According to the research firm Gartner, IT spending in India is likely to decline by 8.1% in 2020 due to Covid-19. It will be the first such fall in the past 5 yrs, spend is expected to total $83.5 billion. "The fear of a global economic recession due to the Covid-19 pandemic is forcing chief information officers in India to be very cautious on their IT spending this year," said Naveen Mishra, senior research director at Gartner.
