ByteDance, Baidu, Microsoft improperly collected user data: China's internet watchdog

China's internet watchdog, China Cyberspace Administration, has accused TikTok parent firm ByteDance, Baidu and Kuaishou, of collecting user data improperly. The internet watchdog also accused American tech giant Microsoft and its two products Bing and LinkedIn, of collecting user data. This is not the first time that ByteDance has been accused of data collection. India has already banned TikTok due to similar allegations.
