Bangladesh pharma giant Beximco Pharma offers 1st generic version of Remdesivir for coronavirus

Beximco Pharma, Bangladesh's pharma giant, has introduced the world's 1st generic version of the trial antiviral drug remdesivir & has branded it as Bemsivir. Remdesivir has recently been authorised for emergency use in the treatment of coronavirus patients by the US. The company has said it can produce generic versions of patented drugs under WTO provisions that grant least developed nations a waiver from getting licences.
