Apple sold more watches than the entire Swiss watch industry: Report

The Apple Watch was the best-selling smartwatch last year and also put the Swiss watch industry to shame. The report estimated that Apple shipped nearly 31 million units in 2019. This amounted to a 36 percent jump over last year. Traditional Swiss watch makers, like Swatch and Tissot, are losing the smartwatch wars. Apple Watch is delivering a better product and appealing to younger consumers in the technology arena today.
