Amid coronavirus lockdown, Amazon India allows local stores to sell groceries online
At a time when India is observing lockdown to prevent the coronavirus from spreading, e-commerce giant Amazon is collaborating with local grocery stores in India to let them sell goods through the company's platform. Under the 'local shops on Amazon', the company wants to bring small brick and mortar stores online. The firm said that the project was in pilot phase for the last six months with over 5,000 stores onboard.
