A new study finds that almost 1.5 million more people may die in India each year due to extreme heat by 2100. The study conducted by TCD at the University of Chicago says continued high emission of greenhouse gases are projected to lead to a 4-degree Celsius rise in average temperatures by 2100 in India. It also said that the spike in avg summer temperatures & the number of extremely hot days has an impact on mortality.
