The study carried by researchers at the Irish centre for vascular biology, RCSI & St James Hospital found that abnormal blood clotting happens in severe COVID-19 Irish patients; that led to micro-clots in lungs. They also told that patients with higher blood clotting activity levels had a worse prognosis & more likely needed ICU admission. To develop effective treatments, it is important to know how these micro-clots are formed.
