A 'giant wombat' fossil found by local council workers in New South Wales

Local council workers found a giant wombat fossil has been discovered in the Monaro region of southern New South Wales, Australia. They found the fossilised jaw of a baby diprotodon at an undisclosed location that is known for such paleontological findings. The council workers informed the Australian museum about their discovery. Diprotodons were a type of megafauna that was widespread across Australia.
