Blow to startups as angel tax to come into effect from April 1, 2024

The Indian government has proceeded with the changes to the so-called angel tax, which may have a big impact on the Indian startup ecosystem. Centre on Thursday presented the Finance Bill 2023 in Lok Sabha that makes it “applicable to share application money/premium received from any person, regardless of their residential status.”
