According to a new report, Amazon had allegedly been using the startup investment process to help launch its own competing products. Amazon met or invested in companies, only to build its own products which directly competed with smaller firms. Amazon-made products often crushed the competition. The Journal found various examples of Amazon's investments directing to in-house product development.
