Wimbledon bans Russian and Belarusian players from 2022 edition of Tennis tournament

Wimbledon has confirmed that it has banned Russian and Belarusian layers from competing in the 2022 edition of the competition. The Grand Slam has taken this decision amid the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine. 'It is our responsibility to play our part in the widespread efforts of Government, industry, sporting and creative institutions to limit Russia’s global influence through the strongest means possible.' Wimbledon said.
