Shubman Gill scored his first ICC Cricket World Cup half-century when he struck 53 against Bangladesh on October 19. As he was batting, a gold-colored badge was seen on his collar during the match. The golden badge was actually for winning the ICC Player of the Month Award. Gill won the award for September 2023 and was also presented with a memento earlier on. Notably, he is the first Indian to have won it twice.
