Sprinter Nirmala Sheoran banned for 4 years

Indian sprinter Nirmala Sheoran has been slapped with a 4-year doping ban and stripped of her 400m and 4x400m relay titles from the 2017 Asian Championships. The Athletics Integrity Unit stated she tested positive for the steroids drostanolone and methenolone in a sample taken at an Inter-State meet in Guwahati back in June 2018. Nirmala whose biological passport also had irregular blood readings accepted the charge.
