Serie A chief executive Luigi De Siervo apologized after images of monkeys were used in artwork for an anti-racism campaign. The league faced severe criticism from Italian clubs AC Milan and Roma and also anti-discrimination organizations for the posters. Artist Simone Fugazzotto, however, earlier defended his creation by saying "we are all monkeys". The 'No To Racism' posters feature 3 monkeys with painted faces.
