PV Sindhu and Carolina Marin both were shown yellow cards after they engaged in a heated conversation during their Denmark Open 2023 semifinal match on October 21. The two were seen locked in an argument when the shuttle fell on Sindhu's court and both attempted to pick it up. After their conversation, the chair umpire showed yellow cards to both players. Sindhu went on to lose the contest to 18-21, 21-19 and 7-21 to the Spaniard.
