The Netherlands registered a comfortable 3-1 win over the USA to seal a spot in the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Goals from Memphis Depay (10th min), Daley Blind (45th min) and Denzel Dumfries (81st min) saw The Dutch through. For USA, Haji Wright scored the solitary goal in the 76th min. A losing finalist in 1974, 1978 and 2010, the Dutch had failed to reach the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
