IPL franchises might play friendlies outside India

IPL franchises’ dream project of traveling countries like the US to promote the game through international friendlies will now be discussed at the IPL Governing Council meeting. Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad have already made the board aware of their interest. Delhi Capitals is also open to the idea. MI first approached CoA for the friendly matches abroad but it was turned down then.
