ICC to increase teams in T20 World Cup from 16 to 20?

ICC is pondering over increasing teams in the men’s World T20. According to reports, ICC may increase the number of teams in World T20 to 20 for the 2023-2031 timeframe. Currently, 16 teams take part in the World T20 and it will be the same in this year’s tournament to be played in Australia in October. ICC is also planning to create new attractive Champions Trophy style tournaments for both the T20 and ODI formats.
