Meanwhile, following the conclusion of the Bengaluru Test, Iyer’s old conversation with veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin went viral. Ashwin asked about his ambitions to play Test cricket. In reply, Iyer seemed dejected to have not played a Test match yet.
