Hockey India suspends players after violence in Nehru Cup final

Hockey India Disciplinary Committee has suspended as many as 11 players and two team officials for their involvement in the recent violence that stunned the hockey fraternity during the 56th Nehru Cup finals between Punjab Armed Police and Punjab National Bank. Players from both teams had heated exchange and fought with sticks on the turf during the finals last month. The suspension comes in effect from December 11.
