Federer-Nadal charity match attracts record crowd

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal attracted a world record crowd for a tennis match in an exhibition event in Cape Town which Federer won by 6-4 3-6 6-3. The attendance of 51,954 surpassed the previous record 42,517 when Federer played Alexander Zverev in Mexico City last November. The ‘Match in Africa’ raised USD 3.5-million for the Roger Federer Foundation, which supports educational and athletic programs in Africa.
