Faf du Plessis has said cricket needs more, not fewer, elite nations. Du Plessis was recently asked about his thoughts on an annual ODI ‘Super Series’, involving the so-called ‘Big Three’ of India, Australia and England, with one more country to be invited on a rotation basis. He also said there’s inequality in fixtures in Test cricket, with new Test nations like Ireland and Afghanistan struggling to get fixtures.
