UEFA is working on some ambitious plans that would see the Champions League final eventually end the 2019-20 season on August 29. European football’s governing body still wants to finish the season as a whole by the end of August, with all outstanding games see results on field. It means the Champions League final might take place in Istanbul on August 29, while the Europa League final in Gdansk three days earlier.
