New Zealand batsman Leo Carter became only the 7th male cricketer to smash 6 sixes in an over during a Super Smash T20 tournament match. Carter, playing for Canterbury Knights, punished left-arm orthodox bowler Anton Devcich of Northern District brutally. The Knights chasing 220 to win needed 64 runs from last 5 overs and Carter ensured the win with 7 balls remaining. He ended the match unbeaten at 70 off 29 balls.
