Boxer Sumit Sangwan fails dope test

India’s rising boxing star Sumit Sangwan failed a dope test after being tested positive for a banned substance. National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has said Acetazolamide was found in the athlete’s (91 kg) samples which were taken on October 10, 2019. Acetazolamide has been listed as Diuretics and masking agents under S5 of WADA’s 2019 Prohibited List. The tests were done at WADA-accredited Anti-doping Lab in Qatar.
