Akash Kumar wins bronze medal at World Boxing Championships, becomes seventh Indian boxer to finish on podium at event

21-year-old Akash Kumar finished on the podium at the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships, winning a bronze medal. Kumar is the seventh boxer from India to finish on the podium at the Boxing event. Vijender Singh, Amit Panghal are some other Indian boxers to win a medal at the Championships. Akash was playing his debut World Championship at an elite level.
